After Mark Block’s cigarette ad came out, Herman Cain said that he believes in, “Letting Block be Block.” and “Letting Cain…be Cain.” This was not just some tiny statement, this was a bold swipe at political correctness. Mr. Cain does not do well with political correctness and he is never fearful of letting you know that.
Political Correctness is the fertilizer that Socialism grows in. It rears its head every few months in the form of a national news story about some homeowners associations trying to infringe on the right to fly the American Flag. It is not politically correct to oppose a woman’s right to choose. It is not politically correct for a female or a minority to be conservative. It is not politically correct for people to, “Be themselves”
When I was young, we were taught, “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” Political Correctness preaches, “If it offends anyone, it needs to be removed from public view. Political Correctness is The freedom of speech’s biggest foe.
Mr. Cain is the most politically incorrect candidate the Republican Party has ever had. Mr. Cain is the only candidate that openly attacks political correctness. The Mark Block ad was successful because it kicked political correctness in the shins. The current smear campaign has a thread of political correctness that attaches to every aspect of it. It was predictable that somehow, someway, someone would use this kind of attack. We live in a world where someone can take a piece of conversation, call it sexual harassment, and permanently destroy a reputation. This has not only become a money making venture for some, it saps resources from the actual cases. It is great timing that Mr. Cain has his health care plan up next for release. It starts with tort reform. Frivolous lawsuits of all kinds are born out of political correctness.
It is time to take out political correctness. Mr. Cain is leading the way. This election is a direct attack on the problems caused by political correctness in job creation, foreign policy, education, as well as many other aspects of American life. When Mr. Cain says that stupid people are ruining America, he hits the nail on the head. He uses a politically incorrect statement to hit political correctness in the nose.
Saul Alinsky says, “Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. … Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.“
We need to fight back with their own playbook. We need to ridicule political correctness and its damage at every opportunity. Every discussion we have should point out where political correctness is at the core. From discussions about parental rights to abortion. From ‘In God We Trust’ to the ‘Pledge of Allegiance’ to flags and crosses.
We need to make ‘Political Correctness’ the joke. We need to shine the spotlight on it and the trail of damage it leaves. We need to relegate it to a failed idea of the 20th Century. When we do, we will take back America from much of the nonsense that political correctness has infected.
